Evergreen is a large country with a cool but fair climate. Within Evergreen there is a city and a forest. Isolated and very different, each living situation has its finer aspects and its flaws.

Evergreen Forest

Evergreen Forest is, in fact an Evergreen forest consisting mostly of green trees year round. Life within the forest is very blissful yet at the same time chaotic. As in real life, animals hunt and kill other animals for survival. It’s simply the way of life. However in this case, they’re quite smarter, and opposable thumbs also play a key role, but essentially everything is generally the same. In the forest it’s the survival of the fittest and not many animals live to see old age.

Communication is more abundant among herbivores and omnivores in the forest who have grown the most wit to aid in the evasion of predators but you’ll rarely, if ever, find someone with a colorful language, reading, or writing ability in the forest. Many predators of the forest talk in simple form and walk hunched over on two feet but behavior usually depends on location and animal. While most of these predators may not be very lingual or educated, they’re often very smart in pursuing prey and very powerful in seizing it.

Evergreen’s major predators are wolves, bears, hawks, and cougars. Some other predators are foxes, coyotes. Animal sizes have been scaled to around an average 4′5 height but the animals that are generally shorter than others and those are the ones typically still preyed upon.

Although in the forest, animals frequently rely on themselves or their own kind for support, there are sometimes small communities of several animals that watch over each other. These safe havens, considered to be the most blissful aspect of the forest, are at times the start of more complex and organized civilizations, Villages.

Villages

Throughout Evergreen you may find villages. Villages are small civilizations of animals bundled together. Village animals are usually far smarter than forest animals and possess a certain culture unknown to forest life. Inside these villages you will find technology of all sorts but usually wooden houses and simple weaponry. Village fauna, like many larger civilizations, consists more or less of omnivores and herbivores. Carnivores are almost always the ones being fended off against, thus being branded the detriment to villages everywhere. Villages are often to be considered the intermediation between forest and city.

Evergreen City

Evergreen city is the capital city among Evergreen’s cities. The city of Evergreen is a civilized place and anything outside of it is considered to be a threat. For that reason, a giant wall is surrounding the metropolitan areas of Evergreen. Life in Evergreen city is very similar to human life. It’s based on technology, very political, and very deranged from nature, but can be quite harmonious at times. City animals are regularly known to have a wide assortment of fur colors.

Food sources for Evergreen are a never ending debate, but more often than not, herbivores are happy with the grown vegetation, and all other meat eating animals are left to pick from, fish, hunted forest animals, and importing from other countries. Domestic meats such as poultry, beef, and pork, tend to be the rarest of all. Food sources are still being developed.

While many liberals believe it would be best for all animals to live in cities, it’s simple not the case. Some animals carry destructive forest tendencies and bring them to the city such as overproduction in rabbits. Some animals act too far on primal instincts such as killing and scent marking. Finally, some animals just prefer the lax but timid lifestyle the forest has to offer as opposed to the education process, the day to day working for a living, and politics in general. Civilian immigration is a heavily overseen process and city supporters truly hope to one day eradicate primitive animal life by instilling cities everywhere.
