I’ve never been too good with detailed scenery. I’m trying to make the city look dark, without it actually being dark. No one eyed man in a dark alley covered in fleas with half a leg becoming infected. I’m also trying to make it look old, while actually being fairly modern (hence the use of lamp posts instead of torches). When I think gothic, stone buildings, chapels, and dead trees come to mind. I also think of those black gates.

I guess high pillars and arches may move it from cozy to cold, though I dunno much about gothic. Things from the “dark” age I guess, rats, disease and crippled people?
